About Me
It all started when…
Hello my names Carina and I am passionate about swimming and aim to teach kids in a safe, warm, friendly environment, building water confidence. Each child progresses working on the four main strokes, starting with the crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, while concentrating on excellent technique.
I became a swimming teacher as my husband and I bought a house in Naphill outside High Wycombe. We had a small indoor pool at the time and I was pregnant with my first child. After having Anna, I became concerned about water safety and decided I wanted to teach her to swim. I then asked the local children if they wanted lessons and it snowballed. I did Lifeguard training, Aqua Aerobics, Rookie lifeguard, British Sub Aqua club, and taught Aqua aerobics at High Wycombe and Marlow sports centres in mixed classes as well as teaching children. I also qualified as a PADI diver.
I moved and have concentrated on teaching children which I find very rewarding.Children are all different and you are constantly learning and adjusting.
All my qualifications are up-to-date and take regular continued professional development courses.
