Safe Guarding Policy
Bluefish Swim School recognises the importance of safeguarding children for those who work directly with children. I am committed to delivering a safe and happy environment for children to swim.
Adopt Wavepower /Swim England safeguarding 2020 – 2023
The policies are available for all staff to view.
All children of any age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and ability or disability have a right to enjoy their involvement in aquatics in a safe and protected environment.
All staff working at Bluefish swim school give a positive, safeand happy experience keeping all children from harm.
An appointed Welfare officer with the knowledge and training as outlined by Swim England will lead in child safeguarding matters.
The Welfare officer’s name and contact details are known to staff and parents.
Any concerns will be dealt with following Swim England/Wavepower policies.
The Welfare’s officer name is known to all parents and staff as outlined in Terms and Conditions recently updated whenparents start lessons at Bluefish swim school.
Ensure all staff working for Bluefish swim school have training and DBS checks and adhere to the code of conduct and safeguarding policies outlined in Wavepower
Listen to any childrens concerns.
Any concerns will be dealt with safely and confidentially for the child’s welfare.
All correspondence relating to child safeguarding to be held in a secure place.
- Welfare Officer to have contact details of who to contact
- Child protection is in practice through Swim England and NSPCC
- Confidentiality is maintained and information is shared on a ‘need to know’ basis
- Safeguarding children is paramount
