During the swimming lessons each child progresses from doggy paddle to the four main strokes, starting with the crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, while concentrating on excellent technique.
The small groups of maximum 6 kids enable them to learn quickly and effectively.
The last lesson is a skills and fun session where kids who have their 10-metre badge or more, can use fins. They learn to surface dive, swim through hoops, and practice the correct breathing techniques with the latest equipment.
Non-swimmers use noddles, pick sinkers up off the steps, and swim through surface floating hoops gaining water confidence from an early age. I want each child to feel relaxed and happy in the water, and this enables them to progress quickly.
In most cases, within 3 months, children can swim independently in the deep end. Feedback from parents suggest a quiet environment helps kids to concentrate and learn quickly, gaining confidence. Swimming lessons for children early on helps build confidence and helps with holidays.
